  • We understand it can be daunting, but our experienced team supports you every step of the way, and many of our student-athletes felt the same before thriving at RIASA. Our peer-leader team are on-hand to help you settle in.

  • Yes, during your application process you will be required to submit a highlight video if you have not been previously athletically accepted at an ID event or a campus visit.

  • No, it is not essential for you to attend an ID event before joining RIASA. However, we recommend attending one of our various events to get a feel for RIASA and meet our brilliant coaching staff.

PROGRAMMES

  • RIASA Leeds is based in a traditional campus environment with a focus on International Sports Management, while RIASA London offers a broader choice of degrees (23 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate options) in the heart of the capital, with evening training to accommodate varied academic timetables.

  • We offer a 4-year regular programme that runs from August to May each year, with the option of staying longer with a Masters degree. However, our transferable credits give you the option to join us as a sophomore or junior.

  • Orientation week is usually at the beginning of September, however we also provide the option of joining as a Spring entrant in January.

  • Our regularly scheduled showcase fixtures throughout the year against world-renowned academies give you the chance to shine on the big stage. Additionally, our annual European Tour gives you worldwide experience against fresh opposition.

  • Applying for a student visa is one of the final steps in the application process - our admissions team will guide you on the relevant steps once you have received your CAS number.

ACCOMMODATION

  • The stunning Oxley Residence will be your halls for your time at RIASA Leeds. You can find out more details here.

  • In London, you’ll have three accommodation options to choose from during your stay. You can read more about these options here.

  • You’ll be allocated fellow RIASA students in your student accommodation, giving you the chance to fully integrate with your new teammates.

  • At RIASA Leeds, the accommodation fee is included in the programme fee.

ACADEMICS

  • At RIASA Leeds, you’ll be studying International Sports Management, our original bespoke degree pathway. At RIASA London, you can choose from 30 undergraduate and postgraduate options, which can be found here.

  • We require a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent at RIASA.

    For students from non-English speaking countries, students are also required to have passed an IELTS exam.

  • A dual-accredited degree means your qualification is officially recognised in both the US and the UK. RIASA is the only soccer programme in the world offering this, giving you the freedom to continue your academic or playing career in either country after graduation.

  • Yes, we offer a Masters degree at both Leeds and London campuses.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

  • Yes, RIASA provides full pastoral support throughout your time with us, including academic guidance, well-being support, and a dedicated team to help you adjust to life in the UK.

  • You will have access to various additional facilities for both your academic and athletic needs, such as gym, study rooms and a swimming pool.

  • Yes, our allocated peer leader team, made up of junior and senior RIASA students, are on hand to provide mental health support if you’re struggling with any personal issues.
