8 THINGS TO GET EXCITED ABOUT AT RIASA IN 2026:
As we look ahead to 2026, there’s a huge amount to be excited about at RIASA. With new intakes, new opportunities, and more unforgettable football experiences on the horizon, next year is shaping up to be one of our biggest yet.
Here are 8 things we’re already looking forward to at RIASA in 2026:
1. Our 2026 European
Showcase Tour
One of the highlights of every RIASA season is our annual European Showcase Tour. In 2026, we’ll once again be heading abroad to test ourselves against international opposition, train in elite environments, and immerse our players in new footballing cultures. These tours provide invaluable exposure and unforgettable experiences.
Keep an eye out for the full announcement soon!
2. Welcoming Our New Freshman Class
August always brings exciting new talent to campus, and 2026 will be no different. Meeting our newest freshman class, helping them settle into life in the UK, and watching them take their first steps in the RIASA programme is something we look forward to every year.
3. The RIASA Summer Experience 2026
Our annual Summer Experience continues to grow year-on-year. In 2026, we’ll welcome players from around the world to live, train, and play like a RIASA student for nine nights in the UK - the perfect introduction to the programme before committing long-term.
Tickets are available to purchase on our website.
4. Competitive League & Showcase Fixtures
From weekly league matches to showcase games against professional and academy opposition, 2026 promises another packed fixture schedule. These games give our student-athletes the chance to test themselves, gain exposure, and grow in real competitive environments.
5. Continued Player Progression
Nothing excites us more than seeing players take the next step - whether that’s moving into senior teams, earning trials, or continuing their development at higher levels. We’re excited to build on the progress made in recent years and see where 2026 takes our athletes.
6. The RIASA Derby!
Our RIASA Bradford and RIASA Leeds squads still have to face each other once more in the West Riding League, and it’s sure to be another high-intensity game between our players.
Can Bradford extend their bragging rights or will Leeds get their revenge?
7. Our End of Season Awards Ceremony
Just like every year, we’ll be hosting our annual awards presentation at the end of the season, celebrating the great achievements and funniest moments from the previous year. Both academic and athletic awards will be given out, and we can’t wait to celebrate the fantastic year and relax after lots of hard work.
8. High-Performance Training Environments
Access to elite training facilities, gym partnerships, and professional-level environments remains central to RIASA. In 2026, our focus on performance, recovery, and player wellbeing will continue to support development on and off the pitch.
If you're serious about your soccer career and your education, there’s no better place than the UK to grow as both an athlete and an individual.
Train like a pro. Play like a pro. Become your best. Join RIASA.
